Everything you need to know about Mr Haven time vaults.
Mr Haven is a non-custodial USDC savings vault on Base.
You deposit USDC into a vault you control and set rules that can move funds later:
Your USDC can earn yield through Aave while it sits in your vault. APY varies with market conditions.
Plan eligibility is determined on-chain by smart contract logic. Execution is an on-chain transaction — verifiable and irreversible. No one can execute a plan early or redirect funds.
Set a specific date. When that date arrives, your plan executes and funds transfer to your beneficiary.
Example: "Send $5,000 to my daughter on January 1, 2026"
Set an inactivity period. If you don't check in for that duration, your plan becomes eligible to execute.
Example: "If I don't check in for 90 days, transfer funds to my backup wallet"
You can check in anytime to reset the timer. Any vault activity (deposits, withdrawals, plan updates) also counts as a check-in.
Funds transfer directly to a wallet address you specify. The recipient receives funds automatically when the plan executes.
You can name a beneficiary by email. They don't need a wallet until it's time to claim.
How email claims work:
Email claims have an expiration period. If unclaimed, funds return to the plan creator.
Split funds between multiple recipients with percentage allocations.
Example: 40% to spouse, 30% to child A, 30% to child B
Any of these actions reset your inactivity timer:
For inactivity plans, beneficiaries have options to accelerate eligibility if they believe you may be incapacitated:
Response Window: Beneficiary opens a claim → you have a response window to check in → if you check in, the claim is cancelled → if you don't respond, the beneficiary can finalize and the plan becomes executable.
This ensures beneficiaries can eventually access funds if you're truly incapacitated, while giving you time to respond if you're simply offline temporarily.
Your USDC earns yield through Aave V3, one of the largest and most battle-tested DeFi lending protocols.
Important: APY varies based on market conditions. Yield is not guaranteed and carries smart contract and protocol risk. See full risk disclosure.
Yield is automatically compounded. When your plan executes, beneficiaries receive principal plus any earned yield.
Using Mr Haven involves risks. Understand these before depositing:
Smart contracts may contain bugs or vulnerabilities. Code defects could result in loss of funds. View audit status.
Yield is generated through Aave. If Aave experiences issues, it could affect your deposited funds.
Mr Haven operates on Base (Ethereum L2). Network issues could affect service availability.
Only deposit funds you can afford to lose. Read our complete security documentation and terms of service before using Mr Haven.
Yes. You hold the keys. Funds remain in your vault until your plan executes. Mr Haven cannot move your funds or change your rules.
No. Funds only move when your on-chain plan rules allow it — either at a scheduled time or after your inactivity period. No one can override this.
You can stop any claim by checking in. You'll have a response window to prove you're active, and checking in cancels the claim and resets your timer.
This is why inactivity plans exist. If you set up an inactivity plan with a backup wallet or beneficiary, they can eventually access the funds after your inactivity period.
Yes. You can withdraw any funds not committed to active plans. If you withdraw funds, plans execute on whatever remains.
